  • I had bridesmaids in DC, Michigan and CT, but Bella Bridesmaid's online ordering portal made ordering a breeze. Each girl could put in her dress pick and measurements online, and I could track the whole thing. Shopping at the DC studio was really enjoyable. I also learned after the fact that when one of my girl's dresses had a stain on it when she received it (the fault of the designer, not Bella), the shop refunded her what she paid to have it cleaned. Can't recommend them enough!

  • We came in to Bella Bridesmaids DC and Sheri was absolutely amazing! I had a very specific color in mind for my bridesmaids dresses and she spent a lot of time showing me all the options and even ordered a dress from another store so that I could see it in person. We had such a great experience from start to finish. The store is super cute and intimate but they have a ton of options and a knowledgeable staff to help you find something that works well for everyone. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else!

  • I had such a fabulous experience with Bella Bridesmaids! I had a rather unique vision for my bridesmaids, in that I wanted some of them in floral and some of them in different variations of sage green/blueish dresses. I didn't have much in mind other than that, and the team from Bella Bridesmaids totally took my vision and ran with it! When I arrived for my first visit I saw a ton of dresses fitting my specifications laid out for me, and their knowledge and expertise is truly what led me to achieve my vision. Many of my bridesmaids were able to come in with me for a fitting, and the experience was easy for everyone. The dresses were a bit expensive - but they would have been expensive anywhere. Bella Bridesmaids really helped me put everything together. I can't recommend them enough!

  • I had a wonderful experience with Sheri and her team! They were a pleasure to work with - really took the time to understand my vision, and were super patient and attentive with each bridesmaid. We looooved the purple Joanna August dresses we selected, everyone looked gorgeous - and they were excited to where their dresses (what every bride wants to hear!). The shop is adorable and they have a great selection. Best bridesmaids shopping experience by far!

  • I used Bella Bridesmaids to choose and order my bridesmaid dresses, and they were fantastic! They have a wide selection of gowns and their staff are very knowledgeable about the fit and available colors. They also have physical locations in Philly and Boston, so my out-of-town bridesmaids were still able to go into the store to get measured and try on their dress!

  • This review is specifically for the DC location, although most of it applies to my experience with Bella as a whole. I had chosen some very popular Donna Morgan dresses and planned to go through Nordstrom for the convenience of my 4 bridesmaids, who live in 4 different cities all around the county. When we learned that Nordstrom didn't have styles in stock for my girls to try on, we found Bella. Here's why I love them. 1. Rapid-fire on email responses and probably just as good on the phone, but I prefer email. 2. Lacey is AMAZING. She really saved me life through a number of crises (read on). 3. My maids in DC, Philly, and LA had no problem with their courtesy fittings and said the whole process was super easy. 4. We did have a problem with the NYC location: My bridesmaid is *not* plus-sized, but they insisted she was.   • This is for my bridesmaid's dress for a friend's wedding I went to order from this location. If you have plus bridesmaids, do NOT choose a dress here. They don't offer plus samples in most of their ranges, even if the designers make them. They were unhelpful in recommending a flattering style. She merely did measurements for my friend's wedding. She seemed confused by the size charts and didn't really make a clear recommendation on what size I should be ordering. It was unhelpful. I also had to call twice to actually get an appointment. I called once, left a message, got no call back. I called back and got a person to make my appointment. That should have been my red flag.

    Thank you for your feedback. I'm so sorry that you felt that your experience in our showroom was less than pleasant. To provide a bit of clarity, we do carry a number of plus-size styles in-house as samples, but the sizes and options vary by designer. We do this to ensure that no matter what size a customer might be, we can guide her toward a dress and size that will make her feel beautiful on the big day. With that said, there are times when we may not carry a plus-size option in a particular designer, as was the case here, but your stylist did provide advice on the styles that would offer the best fit given their structure (eg. styles that could be worn with regular undergarments vs. those that might require undergarments to be built in due to the open back); she also offered to reach out to the Bella Bridesmaids where your bride is registered to see if we could have a few plus-size samples shipped in at no cost, but it seems as though our offer to do this was declined. As you can imagine, we want to be able to carry as many styles/sizes as possible, but there are times when we are unable to do so due to the sheer volume of dresses offered by our 15+ designers. When this occurs, however, we apologize, as we understand that this can be frustrating. We then make sure to provide professional measurements, as well as sizing guidance, as was done during your appointment so that we can be as helpful as possible throughout your dress buying experience despite whether the sample is available. With regard to the fees mentioned, surcharges associated with sizing, extra length, etc. are determined by the designer as they relate to the cost of production; we then pass them along to the customer without markup from us here at Bella - as it is not our intention to profit in this manner. Again, we apologize if your visit left you feeling displeased, as this is never our intention, but we do hope that this provides a bit more context.

  • Terrible customer service! Not a reputable business & so unprofessional. The color was off on my 7 dresses. I was assured it matched the swatch & I just didn’t like the color. On examination,1 of the dresses lining was a totally different color then the rest. The top of another dress looked worn & had pulls in the fabric; 3rd dress had a permanent wrinkle in the lining sewn into the fabric. I placed my order with Bella to ensure all dresses were made new, at the same time & cut from the same die lot so they matched exactly. They never gave a good answer as to why these dresses did not match & looked used.1st we were told the only thing they could do was to have the defective dresses fixed by a DC tailor. A $200+ brand new dress should no be fixed, it should be replaced! The other option was buy/exchange other dresses for our dresses(with other bella shops) and potentially recieve sample dresses or some new ones.   • RUN!!!!! I am not one to complain but I am still shocked by the lack of customer service and product that we were provided by Bella Bridesmaid. First our dresses were very late to arrive and instead of offering to pay for rush shipping, I had to do it over the phone. I got past that and let it go. But then when both myself and my bridesmaid called to state how her dress was cut too short, we were basically told there is nothing to do. They are supposed to specialize in bridesmaid dresses and this has been the only stressor I have had throughout my wedding planning process. The wedding is in 12 days so we obviously don’t have time to submit a case to Bill Levkoff as was suggested. As a store that focuses on bridesmaid dresses they should have a relationship with all vendors that ensures emergencies can be accommodated if needed.     Kasey, I am so sorry that you feel that your experience with our showroom was less than desired. When we were made aware that your dresses would ship one week after they were originally expected to, we immediately escalated the issue to the designer's upper management, and set up daily calls to get updates on whether the ship carrying your items was in jeopardy of any further delay outside of those already incurred due to Hurricanes Harvey and Maria. When the dresses did finally make it to the designer's warehouse, we worked with their team to make sure that your gowns were separated from the larger shipment, and processed in advance of all of the other orders so that they could be shipped to our showroom expeditiously. With regard to your bridesmaid's length issue, I, as owner, spoke with her personally on Saturday, and let her know that while we were unable to provide refunds on final sale items, we would do everything we could to rectify any issue related to a defect. We take any report of error very seriously, but like most retailers, need to see the item to understand the origin of the issue. To that end, I requested photos of the dress (wanting to avoid inconveniencing the bridesmaid by bringing it back in), but I was told by the bridesmaid that were no photos, that there wasn't time to take any, and that she didn't want to work with the designer - she just wanted a refund. As you can imagine, this precluded us from determining if the dress had been cut defectively short; it also impeded us from working with the designer on a speedy, cost-free fix, if it had been. Again, I apologize for your experience; I did just want to walk through the steps that we take to help our clients overcome any hurdles faced in the days before the wedding, as this is very important to me and my entire team.   • Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience at Bella. I made a one hour appointment to look at bridesmaid dresses with my maid of honor. The appointment started 15 minutes late, and the consultant rushed us out as soon as the time slot was up, despite the fact that she started our appointment late. Our consultant was very inattentive and disappeared for long periods of time. She was not helpful in pulling dress options and didn't pull any dresses for us based on the style I described. She only pulled the specific dresses I'd found ahead of time online. When I returned for a second appointment to look at more dresses, she was very rude and made me feel like an inconvenience for not selecting a dress in the first appointment. When it came time for the fitting, one of my bridesmaids had ordered similar bridesmaids dresses in the past and knew her size based on previous experiences.   • Bella DC was easy to work with. We came here after I had an experience with a non-responsive bridal boutique in Darnestown. Bella had plenty of flexibility for us to make an appointment, and they were very gracious when we arrived. At first it was difficult to identify and narrow down to the type of dress I was after, but once we overcame that the appointment went very well. Once all the bridesmaids had ordered their dresses, I received the final contract to review. The only thing that was frustrating, was that there was no specific estimated delivery date, only a rough time frame, but it all worked out and the girls dressed arrived just on time. Once dresses were in, they alerted myself and all of my bridesmaids. They even let me pick up the dress for one of my girls who was out of town at the time!

  • Bella Bridesmaids is a great place from which to order bridesmaids dresses because, due to their many locations, it is possible for many members of the bridal party to try on dresses in person. However, I have found that the store is open at poor hours, has very short appointment times slots, and that the staff is polite, but not overly friendly. It definitely has a cold feel.

  • I purchased my bridesmaids dresses through Bella Bridesmaids as my bridesmaids are spread across the country. I had a very positive experience trying on dresses with my Maid of Honor. The consultants were great and super helpful. The ordering also was really smooth and easy for my girls to do. My issues began when the dresses actually arrived. Every single dress was 1-2 sizes too big. They were swimming in them. This was largely blamed on the girls taking their measurements or taking them at Bella stores in other locations but my MOH was measured in the salon and her dress was massive. It was so disappointing. I ended up having to work with the salon to reorder the smallest two dresses (the girls switched down sizes). I was given a solid date for delivery on the replacement dresses that was 3 weeks before we all had to leave for the wedding. Well with 2 weeks left, I started to panic.
