  • We were so happy that we chose Be My Guest Catering. After the wedding our guests kept telling us how good the dinner tasted--it really was a highlight. Beyond the food, Sandy and her team were very accommodating and helped to make our backyard wedding a hit!

  • My husband and I got married on September 25, 2020 and had hired Sandy and her team at Be My Guest Catering right before the onset of the pandemic in March. Sandy was patient and kind, and navigated the uncertainties and obstacles alongside us. Working with Be My Guest Catering was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding - not only was the food and the service outstanding, but the support Sandy and her team gave us was honestly unexpected and truly invaluable. We'd work with them again in a heartbeat.

They were able to help walk us through the wedding planning process, coordinate rentals and the day-of timeline, communicate with the venue, and provide delicious food and excellent service! BMG was flexible, timely with their responses, and happy to provide advice during wedding planning. Not only was the food outstanding, the service was above and beyond! I would definitely recommend them for any catered event, especially a wedding!

  • Okay, play along: You are getting married in less than one week. All your hard work, the painfully detailed planning has finally taken life. Everything is paid in full. It is time to relish is the joy. You and your person are about to celebrate the union of marriage. Sounds great right!! Well yep, that was us! Literally days before our wedding just when we thought we could sit back and relax… came COIVD-19. March 16th 2020 we have to put all of our wedding plans on hold. Some vendors had to cancel and or postpone, some vendors were gracious enough to walk through our uncertainties with kindness and grace. Some vendors were our saving grace!   • Welcome to 2020 weddings! We were supposed to have the perfect wedding on April 25, and wound up with in August instead. BMG helped make the switched date (and COVID wedding craziness) seamless and stress free, to include making our wedding cake. Sandy had great ideas to keep both guests and staff safe, and helped manage shifting guest lists and state mandated changes. I look forward to working with them again in a post-COVID world.

  • Coming from a couple who loves food, this was one of the most important decisions in our wedding planning journey - and boy did we make the right one! Sandy and her team were truly a pleasure to work with and they went above and beyond, exceeding our expectations. They worked with us to create a personalized menu for our venue/ time of year and helped us through every single step of the logistics, timeline, etc. to make sure that our vision came to life. The food was absolutely incredible and 3 months later we are still getting compliments. Hats off to the BMG team - we cannot wait to work with you again someday!

We had a difficult menu- asking her to try a new dish with on-site frying- and she came through for us 100%. We also had a difficult weather situation on our day of and really took charge to make sure everything stayed on task. The food and drinks were all wonderful and we got compliments on everything. We appreciate all of the team's help and can definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great caterer and partner for their wedding!

  • Absolutely amazing is all I can say about Be My Guest, Sandy (owner) and her staff. We knew from the beginning that we wanted Be My Guest to cater the wedding. We were lucky enough to use a venue that Be My Guest could cater in. The planning process was so easy from menu creation, to taste testings, to linen rentals (etc), to final event. It was a stress free planning event from the beginning with the support of Sandy and team! Everything was just fantastic! We also used their day of event coordinator, Amy, to help us as well as be our go between with the venue manager. Her attention to the detailed timeline kept the day running smoothly.   • We had our June, 2019 wedding at Chesapeake Bay Foundation and chose BMG to cater the event. Sandy and the BMG team impressed us from the moment we contacted them with how quick they were to respond and answer all our questions. Throughout the entire planning process, the BMG team followed up on every detail, not just with the food but also coordinating the rental of linens and table settings, drawing up layouts of the tables based on our ever changing guest list, and setting up meetings at the venue to walk us through the details. As an out-of-town bride, knowing the BMG team would help me cover all the details so that the wedding would go smoothly reduced a lot of stress. Not to mention the food, which was delicious.   • BEYOND DISAPPOINTING AND UNTRUSTWORTHY Our initial encounter with BMG Catering was amicable with positive communication. However, as we worked through the planning process, unforeseen circumstances caused questions to arise, and we were assured that everything would be fine. Several weeks later, and after Sandy (the owner made a promise), we received an email informing us that BMG’s policies had changed and the promises she had made regarding how much money we would be receiving back from them would now not be honored, and that we should be grateful to her since she was being "more generous" than other vendors would be, despite keeping almost $2000 that she had promised to return to us. BMG dismissed our concern that the policies were made after our agreement and applied backwards. Do not trust this company!

    Josh & Kate- Prior to Covid we did not have a policy for a pandemic. You cancelled your wedding as your choice. Your venue did not shut you down and your guest count would fall well under 50% capacity. I created a policy for all our clients: All payments goes toward your rescheduled event, no penalty. If a client decides to cancel, we understand & support this. There is not a 100% refund of the monies. We have done work on our end and have not been refunded for the rentals we set up for your reception. You personally told me how wonderful Be My Guest was to work with up to this point where you and I had a disagreement over the refund amount. You failed to mention this. And the verbal abuse you used on the phone. In the planning of your reception the budget was extremely tight and I worked with you both without hesitation. I went above and beyond to accommodate every request of a sheet cake and no meat menu. I created a beautiful vegetarian menu that would satisfy religious restrictions as well. We conducted a tasting for your fiancée since you could not attend. We went back and forth multiple times and created a layout with your fiancé of the set up and walked through a timeline and how things would play out on reception day. I am sorry you do not feel like this deserves payment. I am very fair and will continue to help clients get through Covid-19 planning rescheduling or cancelling. We have a very fair policy and I have gone above and beyond to help all our clients figure out how to move forward during an unprecedented time in our world.
