As two people involved in MANY previous weddings, finding a place where our immediate friends and family hadn't had THEIR weddings at before was really hard. While we knew someone who knew someone who had their wedding at BMI, again- none of our immediate circle had which was important to us. Ms. Angie showed us around and gave a very helpful packet of information. The cost for the time was very reasonable and everything that's included is REALLY going to wow our guests. Again, we CANNOT. WAIT.

We were married at the Baltimore Museum of Industry in October of 2020 and we could not be happier with our experience. The staff (Claire, Kelly, and Angie) were incredible to work with. We are very happy with how they handled our COVID reschedule and on the day of the event Kelly helped us with every detail. They were so generous and professional and took as much stress out of the pandemic as they could. It’s clear that vendors love working with the BMI as they seem to have a great relationship with all of them. We really loved the views on the water - a true Baltimore Experience. A fantastic experience and we highly recommend them and cannot say enough good things about these people!

Let's start with the venue itself. My wife and I viewed 3 total locations with the BMI being the last, and let's just say, it was an absolute no-brainer in going with the BMI. It offered such a unique setting that offered so much more than your "traditional" venue. Outside of not having to plan and spend money on decorating the entire venue, it offered an amazing opportunity for bridal party and family pictures. We had a lot of guests ask us how we knew/found out about the venue because they thought it was an awesome location. While the venue was great, the event manager at BMI, Kelley Edelman, was what made our experience top notch. Kelley was so very responsive from the very beginning, especially when we had questions or needed to make changes as a result of COVID. Kelley was also key in taking a lot of stress off my wife and I the day before and day of the wedding as we were able to drop off all of our decorations, party favors, etc, and she made sure she understood our wants in terms of how we wanted these items staged inside the museum. Upon our arrival to the museum the day of our wedding, we honestly could not have arranged everything any better than Kelley did! It was picture perfect! Because of Kelley, we were able to enjoy our day without any worries. I truly feel like we now can call Kelley a friend and not just our BMI Event Manager.

My husband and I had been so incredibly excited to have our April 2020 wedding reception at the BMI ever since we started looking into venues shortly after our engagement in November 2019. Kelley was absolutely amazing to work with. She was highly responsive to email, answered all of our questions thoroughly, and was eager to assist us with planning our wedding. At the start of the COVID19 pandemic when we found out we would have to postpone the reception due to city and state restrictions, Kelley was so understanding of our concerns and supported us as we navigated the difficult process of re-scheduling. After a need to re-schedule a second time, my husband and I decided to just cancel the reception entirely. We got married at BMI November 23, 2019 and it was simply amazing. Kelley is the ABSOLUTE BEST! She will make you feel at ease- she is so easy to work with and also makes you feel like wedding planning is a piece of cake. We couldn't have been more happy with our wedding and choosing BMI. Everyone who attended our wedding raved about the venue and its uniqueness.

I cannot say enough great things about BMI. Kelley was amazing from the minute we were even interested in the venue - she responds to emails quickly and genuinely cares about doing her part in making your day a success. She is not only a great help, but a great person. I was thrilled to find out she would be there the night of our wedding and she was just as attentive and caring as I anticipated. As for BMI itself, I could not imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. The only thing we were a little bummed about when we booked is that you can't get married before 6:00 because the museum doesn't close until 4, but it ended up being perfect. We still did our first look and all wedding party and family photos prior to the ceremony starting at 3:15ish and we loved that. Kellie and her staff were super easy to work with. They made us feel like family, especially when they let us bring our puppy to the ceremony too. Kellie was always quick to respond and didn’t think any of our questions were silly. The museum was spotless which made decorating easy and they even let us store most of our items the night before to make the day go as smooth as possible. It was perfect!

I fell in love with the BMI immediately. I loved the idea of having the ceremony on the pier with the water in the background. Then as a back up plan we could move the ceremony inside where there was a wall of windows so you could still see the city line. Claire was more then accommodating and out day of help, Angie was fantastic. They were sweet and helpful in all questions about rentals and what we could and could not bring in. We had all the exhibits open and our guests loved talking to the volunteers and being able to learn some history during the cocktail hour. The space is huge and our guests never felt crowded! I highly recommend this venue if you would like the option of an outdoor ceremony with tons of different locations for photos.

Finding the perfect venue is probably one of the toughest decisions you will make when planning a wedding. For us, we wanted a venue that was welcoming, unique, centrally-located, and affordable. We toured a lot of venues that had one or two of those characteristics, but only BMI had it all. There's something special for every guest at this museum, as evidenced by all the people who would go on to tell us this was the coolest wedding venue they'd ever been to. The cherry on top was the staff. Kelley was a pleasure to work with. Unlike a lot of venues, she never tried to place the hard sale on us with anything. She was always easy-going and accommodating and took the stress out of everything. We must've asked her a thousand questions in months leading to our wedding, and she was always so helpful and responsive. She was also incredibly helpful and knowledgeable when it came to other local vendor recommendations. We can't recommend this venue enough.

We had our wedding at the BMI in October 2019 and I can't rave about it enough! We worked with Kelley throughout the planning process and on the day of the wedding--she was so helpful, responsive and put my mind at ease! The venue itself is so interesting--it has a lot of character on its own and needs very little added decor. Our friends and family continue to tell us how amazing our wedding was and how cool the museum is. The venue has beautiful water views, a huge parking lot, is close to hotels and is much more interesting than your standard ballroom. Thanks to the BMI for the best day ever!

When we decided we were going to get married in Baltimore, we chose a variety of places to go and see. The Baltimore Museum of Industry (BMI) was our first place and immediately loved it, since we had a long list of others to check out (7 to be exact) we did not book right away. Kelley Edelmann was so kind to us and immediately made us feel like family, and said if we did decide elsewhere that she wished us many years of happiness. After looking at the other possible venues we were always comparing it to BMI. The water view, outside possibility for ceremony, unique Baltimore charm (especially a hit for my family from out of town). Our wedding was incredible. Kelley, our coordinator at the Museum was nothing short of AMAZING. She was so quick to respond to any and all of emails, answered all of my questions and just made my husband and I feel much more at ease. This venue is so beautiful and there's so many amazing things you can do with it in terms of decorations and themes. So much creative freedom to take in with the Baltimore city scene. Our guests had an amazing time at this venue. We opted to rent out the gallery during cocktail hour and our guests really loved the interactions that they had with the staff while they showed them how the museum worked. The pier outside was everything we had hoped for our outdoor wedding. The inside reception hall (and rain plan we didn’t need) was beautiful as well with floor to ceiling windows over looking the Baltimore skyline. I needed very few decorations because of the exhibits in the museum. I would say 200 people though would probably be the max in order to still have a nice sized dance floor. I included the price but this was for a 6 hour Sunday event with extra galleries.

BMI was a great place to hold our wedding! We had the option for the outdoor ceremony and then did our reception inside. The venue was unique and beautiful. Kelley, our contact there, was extraordinarily helpful, responsive, and accommodating. We were super happy with our experience there and would definitely recommend it to any couple looking to get married on the Baltimore Harbor!
