  • We used A Starr Events for a 50th Birthday party and from the consultation, coordination, and most importantly the execution of our party was absolutely flawless. We dealt directly with Anita the Owner and she was the perfect combination of super friendly and consummate professional. We gave her a rough outline of what we had in mind and she put our vision into action. Anita had great ideas and suggestions and as soon as you talk to Anita you will feel all of your party planning stress melt away as she takes the reigns and puts everything together with zero stress - she is Super Professional (Super sweet as well!).   • Let me tell you first and foremost that a wedding event coordinator should fall with as much priority as obtaining all other vendors i.e caterer, photographer, florist AND wedding event coordinator. About 4 months before our wedding I realized I needed help!! While the knot is great, the ability to pull everything together while planning and enjoying wedding festivities I.e bridal shower, Bachelorette, invites, etc., consider a wedding coordinator will be key towards the end as deadlines are piling. We were lucky enough to get Anita late in the game just about 4 months before our wedding. Our hesitancy to be honest was money, however Anita was able to modify her services with my budget. I was able to complete most of the pre planning activities with her focusing on ensuring all vendors understood our theme and timeline for the wedding day.   • Anita exceeded my expectations. From our very first conversation to our wedding day, she listened, was personable, upbeat, and a force to be reckoned with! She reassured me when I had doubts and answered all calls, texts, and emails promptly. She was also provided our linens and designed our floral arrangements (which were GORGEOUS!) personally, for an additional fee. On our big day, she ensured that everything ran smoothly. She worked into the night prepping & was ready for whatever may come the following day! She managed the service team and all vendors, making sure that they were doing what they were paid to do.   • Anita coordinated my daughter's Monterey wedding with flawless expertise. She handled every single detail with perfection, taking care of issues we didn't even know existed. My daughter's wedding was absolutely perfect, and we were able to relax and enjoy the entire experience because Anita took care of everything so well. She is super detail oriented and on top of things, but at the same time she's calm and positive. Most wedding planners in Monterey/Carmel seem to prefer working with couples having super pricey weddings in Carmel Valley, where the venue does a lot of the work for you. If you're on a budget but still want a very special wedding, Anita is your person. I talked with more than a dozen planners and Anita stood out as the most committed, energetic, reliable and knowledgeable person, and the easiest to work with.   • Anita, you are a lifesaver! A truly gifted planner with an amazing ability to organize, create a vision, and ensure everything goes to plan! We hired Anita to help plan our wedding at Holman Ranch and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The day of went off without a hitch, and that was all due to Anita! She even organized all of our belongings into little boxes and stored them in a safe place for us to collect after the wedding concluded.   • Anita was simply amazing and helped to make our big day perfect! We had heard horror stories from friends who spent their entire wedding chasing down details and trying to keep things on schedule. Anita handled it all. Every detail and extra touches were taken care of so we didn't have to worry about a thing, other than having the time of our lives! Anita also was very kind and helpful to all of our friends and family. Anita took the time to meet us at the venue and again at our home to make sure everything was perfectly coordinated. We would 110% recommend Anita. We cannot thank her enough for going the extra mile and making our wedding perfect!

  • Thinking that since our wedding ceremony had only 30 guests, my husband and I thought we could get away with not having a planner. And we probably could have -- but not without losing our minds. Did I mention that we were planning the event from 3,000 miles away, and I had never seen the venue in person? When my MIL finally convinced me to hire a "month-of" coordinator so we could all relax a little, I interviewed a few people. It was clear right away that Anita was a true professional who was going to make everything okay! She thought of all the little things you don't know if you've never been married before, and worked with our budget and ideas seamlessly. On the day of the wedding, she was a real anchor of calm who kept everything moving along and sheltered me from any snafus that I didn't need to be worried about. I highly recommend her as an essential piece of an amazing day.

  • Anita was absolutely awesome to work with! She saved my wedding by coming on board with only weeks remaining until my wedding and she was a total pro! We initially started working with another planner who wasn’t doing anything and seemed really lackluster. She was also planning her own wedding, but I took a risk because she was used to working at the venue where I had my reception (big mistake). Three weeks until the wedding we had no banquet order, no structure and no service from our planner. When we emailed her it would literally take a week or more to hear back for simple questions. It was awful, so awful. My fiancé who is the most easy going guy said he couldn’t handle the previous planner and neither could I, she was ruining our day before it started. We fired her so she could go off and plan her own wedding. We took a risk that our dream planner would materialize.   • Working with A STARR Events was truly one of the best decisions I made throughout my entire wedding planning process. Anita made it easy from the very beginning and really helped me navigate through my visions for the day and help make them a reality. She put my wants and needs first but also helped to lead me with her experience and expertise. She provided me with checklists and checked-in with me to help keep me on track and feel relaxed. I could feel her years of experience when I would call her overwhelmed and she would just walk me through it step-by-step until I was clear on what needed to be done and she would help me do it. We had A STARR staff at our wedding and they were dressed professionally and knew what they were doing. If I had this wonderful of an experience with A STARR Events planning a wedding, I'm sure there is no event they could not tackle. I would recommend them over and over again!

  • A Starr Event created the flower arrangements, bouquets and boutonnieres for my daughters’ spring wedding. Anita responded quickly to my inquiry, worked with us to select the various elements we wanted, and provided a reasonable quote that fit our budget. Anita spent a lot of time reviewing our selections, discussing flower choices that fit our color scheme, and she proved very knowledgeable about what would be available (and affordable) for my daughter’s special day! We especially appreciated Anita’s commitment to using locally sourced flowers, her assistance delivering and setting up the arrangements, and special touches she included in the ceremony space on the day of the wedding. The flowers arrangements were beautiful, the bouquets were just what my daughter had in mind and we received many complements from the guests! Working with Anita from A Starr Event, was an extremely pleasant experience.

  • We are so happy that we used ASTARR to plan my husband and I's wedding! We had so many different things to get ready and Anita made it feel easy. Between the pouring rain right up until the wedding and the bar tender cancelling a day before, Anita solved every problem! It was a beautiful day filled with love and wouldn't have been possible without ASTARR events.
