  • Came to anchor paper to see if we could figure out what to do if we were to make our own invites. They have lots of examples and crafty people on staff to give you ideas. I made a few trips and finally decided to make invites for the wedding, bought all the supplies from Anchor.

  • I love scrapbooking, so I wanted to make my own invitations. It was a lot of work, but they turned out absolutely beautiful! We saved so much money making them ourselves. Anchor paper has everything you need! The staff is very knowledgable and helpful in helping you pick out the right paper. If you're up for a challenge I definitely recommend Anchor Paper.

  • Spectacular source for paper, especially if you're going to (crazily) take on the challenge of making your own invitations. The order came in with a minor glitch, likely due to the shipping company, but Anchor Paper jumped right on sending replacement pieces. They will even credit your sample order towards your final product order. A great vendor for the DIY'er!

  • This place is amazing! For anyone who is a sucker for paper and crafts, Anchor Paper in St. Paul has it all! I was on the hunt for the perfect papers for my wedding invites and Anchor Paper not only had the supplies we needed, but also the cutters to make pocket invites and all of the punches a person could imagine. Though I don't know the technical terms - Anchor Paper Express had it all! The staff was very helpful, allowing my sister and I to cut invites up until closing time. I picked up the wedding invites in person and afterward placed the order for the reception invites via the telephone and had them shipped to Denver, CO. The staff was very helpful and I received the correct order very quickly. I would definitely recommend Anchor Paper to any bride who has an interest in making her own invites. It was fast, easy, with lots of choices, and at a great price (especially if you are up to cutting your own paper). Plus it's fun! The only downside with Anchor Paper Express is the l... Read more

  • I love Anchor Paper Express! They have a huge selection of paper and our invitations and programs turned out beautifully!! AND for a fraction of the price to order them. It was also a fun project for my husband and I to work on together. We had compliments on our paper. We also had extra left over that we used for signs throughout our reception.

  • Taking on DIY invitations is quite the undertaking, however I was quite unimpressed with Anchor paper in Roseville. Not sure if other locations would be better - but our order was wrong in 3 different types of paper. I would have assumed that a paper company would be able to calculate for you how much paper you would need to make one of their template invitations - but I was wrong. Not only did the company short us paper, which resulted in us needing to come back in to make an additional 25 invitations, but they were less than apologetic when we brought these issues to their attention. Also - we were not told how to make the invitations, which resulted in gluing them wrong and needing to re-do all of them. The paper is nice, and the invites turned out great in the end, but it was more hassle than it was worth - especially when it wasn't our fault! Definitely wouldn't recommend this location!

  • We looked and looked for an Invitation that was not to formal. We went to Anchor Paper Express and the sales person was so helpful. She played with colors and styles with Kayla and asked for examples and gave her examples. She was able to find the colors in stock and we were able to use they work room to cut all the pages to size. We were out of there in about an hour with all our pieces and ready to address and mail them. They have beautiful stock, ideas and examples. Wonderful to work with and very patient with us when we were stumped. They did a terrific job for the invitations Kayla wanted.

  • I'm very happy with my Anchor paper experience. I'm a bride on a budget, and like many other couples in the same situation I've chosen to make our wedding invite. After printing the invitation, rsvp postcard, and info card I felt that they needed to be dressed up a little. With the help of an Anchor employee I found the perfect invitation folder and envelopes for a great price. I purchased the paper and cut the invitation folders myself using a template in their workshop area. For a bride on a budget that enjoys getting creative this is the place to go. The possibilities are truly endless and there supplies-a-plenty to make your invite as fancy, simple, or artistic as you want it to be. There are invitation inspiration books that are very helpful to look at. Without the assistance, it could have been a daunting process looking through the warehouse of paper and supplies. I'm so thankful for all the help I received at Anchor Paper and I'm very much excited with how our wedding... Read more

  • If you're going to go the DIY invitation route, I definitely recommend Anchor Paper Express over the Paper Depot. When I went to the Paper Depot, it was really crowded and I had to wait about an hour to get an invitation sample. Anchor has a much larger space so it doesn't feel nearly as crowded. Also, when I first arrived at Anchor, a women (Deb, I believe) helped me out almost immediately. She explained the process to us, helped us pick out paper, and put together a sample all within the first 30 minutes that we were there. Not only that, but the same products that we found at the Paper Depot were cheaper at Anchor. The only complaint I have about Anchor is their hours (8-5 on weekdays, 9-6 on Saturdays, closed on Sundays). Because they're mainly open during normal business hours, it was somewhat difficult to schedule a time to use their die cutting machines.

  • Our first visit when we chose paper was a bit stressful and when we asked for some additional help the staff were somewhat unorganized. However we found someone that was willing to take the time and help us and it was worth the wait.... Our invites were one of a kind and perfect! :) The day we came to pick up the paper and put together the envelopes was great too! Lot's of help from everyone! :)
