  • WOW!! We were absolutely blown away by Elegant Touch of Strings and they made our wedding ceremony absolutely perfect. We hired a string duo (violin and cello) which perfectly fit our 30-guest mini-wedding. Their music selection is extensive, and they have plenty of contemporary/pop songs on hand which totally fit the vibe of our wedding. My wedding party recognized a lot of their songs and were so entertained with the set list. I requested a specific song not on their list to be played for the bridal processional, and when I finally heard their arrangement when walking down the aisle, I immediately burst into tears, because it was everything I wanted for that special moment in my life. It was perfect. Throughout the whole process, Sherry was so accommodating and friendly with all our correspondence, and was extremely flexible when the pandemic hit and had change our wedding venue and time. You should 100% book them if you would like beautiful string music at your next event. I give t... Read more

  • When envisioning our wedding I was looking for the perfect musical accompaniment and found an Elegant Touch of Strings for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Sherry was a pleasure to work with at every step of the planning process, including the selection of music with traditions from two different faiths to create the perfect ambiance for the wedding ceremony. Thank you Sherry and team for a beautiful, memorable day!

  • We had an Elegant Touch of Strings provide a string trio to play at our wedding at St. Mary's College in Moraga, and they were simply superb. From a medley of Beatles music as people were getting setup and settling in, to beautiful ceremony music, they also sounded wonderful. They were incredibly helpful and flexible in working with friends of ours who were singing during the ceremony, finding time to practice before our guests arrived to ensure they sounded like they'd been playing and singing together for years by the time the ceremony started! We've had numerous compliments on the music, and it's all thanks to Sherry and her fantastic team.

  • My wife let me handle the musician for the ceremony as I grew up playing classical and contemporary piano. First and foremost, for those looking for a romantic yet non-intrusive touch to their wedding ceremony, we would highly recommend looking into some ensemble of string music. Furthermore, Elegant Touch of Strings is an amazing choice for people who don't know their classical music very well. They provided us with a list of two overarching choices- traditional and popular wedding ceremony music. Their website is established to provide you sample clips of songs so you can hear what it would sound like as your friends and family find their seats and socialize prior to the big moment. We chose "A Thousand Years" as the song for our family/ wedding party to walk down the aisle, "Cannon in D" as the bride entrance, and "Better Together" for the recession music. To be completely honest, I have no idea what music they were playing during the seating portion for obvious reasons, but what I ... Read more

  • Sherry and her team and just amazing. Working with her was just so easy. Her music was so beautiful and made our day just perfect. John and I had a cello and violin for our special day and her team just made our day beautiful. We were able to select our own songs which made our day even more special. Would not recommend anyone else but Sherry and her team

  • Oh my gosh the music was beautiful! We had a solo violinst play our ceremony music. Sherry was great. I let her pick the music to play while guest were coming and leaving. I didn't see the songs that I wanted for the bridal party processional or the recessional music but I just emailed her asking if she was able to play them and she write away wrote back yes! Well worth the money.

  • Yes, please! Inexpensive, professional, responsive, efficient and high quality! What more could you ask for? Sherry performed with one of her fellow musicians at my wedding 2 weekends ago and it was magical. They played all the songs we requested. The music was beautiful. I just wish I wasn't running around more so I could enjoy it. She's also by far one of the most responsive vendors I've ever worked with. Also, how many vendors in Sonoma can you get for under a thousand, and of this quality? I'd definitely hire her again should the need arise.

  • We had the String Trio for our wedding in May. They are a preferred vendor from our venue at Elliston Vineyards. Sherry Lewis was great to work with and she was very responsive to my emails and communication. We even had a new song request and she was able to work with her trio to play the song. It sounded perfect! Her and her group were on time (early even) and very professional. Her prices are reasonable and quality of their music is high end. I highly recommend Elegant Touch of Strings.

  • The string quartet was the perfect touch for our wedding. It was everything I ever dreamed. Sherry was very responsive through email and phone calls. ( she even got back to me while she was on vacation ) They offer a great selection of music and were even able to play the Star Wars theme for us to walk back down the aisle to. ( a surprise for my groom)

  • Our September 14th,2013 wedding at The Palm Event Center in Pleasanton was beautiful and romantic! The string quartet added that extra elegant touch to our ceremony and cocktail hour. The ceremony was a tear jerker with the string quartet playing some of our favorite songs. As The doors opened and I walked down the aisle, guests gasped as the song added that drama and romance we wanted them to feel. The cocktail hour was fun and played more contemporary songs. Sherry and her group were beyond wonderful! Even if songs were not in their usual repertoire, they were very accommodating in learning the songs. There was never any hesitation on answering questions or provide you information you may need. Thank you Sherry and An Elegant Touch of Strings! Job well done!

  • Brides, if you care at all about the moment that you walk down the aisle and all its importance, please do NOT hire An Elegant Touch of Strings. They ruined mine - a moment that meant so much to me, one I had envisioned since I was a little girl and one I will never get a do over for. Things will not go exactly as planned at your wedding, but this is a moment that you want right and should be relatively easy to ensure goes as planned. I will never forget standing outside my ceremony venue with my father waiting for our entrance when I heard them play my song (a song that was so deliberately chosen for my entrance with my father). Despite having filled out all their paperwork and clearly outlining who in the wedding party would be entering and in what order, they played my entrance song when my dog came down the aisle. You read that right. They played the song clearly outlined as the entrance for the bride for my dog. After a few seconds, they realized their mistake, stopped a... Read more

Here was my 'rude' answer to her concern. I don't think it was rude. It was an answer and if you read the situation we were in, no view, no one to help, no idea a dog was coming either, so here's my reply to her. As for the blue, it was very light and again hard to tell in our situation, please read: FROM: Sherry Lewis Thu 12/19/2019 11:45 PM To: Meredith Krull Hi Meredith and I'm sorry to get back later as I had a rehearsal. 1) So the only time we would ever stop and restart a song is when someone needs our attention (any other professional) and 46 days later I can't tell you why. Happens frequently. All of the guests had their backs to us. Anyone who may have heard a restart would have no idea why. You had a videographer and the audios will attest to continuous music. 2) We initially had set up in the space at the top of the tunnel where we could see well. This is important. But we then were told to move to the back and that meant closer. The chairs severely hindered our view as we needed to be clear of the walkway and now no aisle view at all. If I remember correctly, the relocation had something to do with a wheelchair. Again, it was 46 days ago. We were given the cue. We were told that the Hornpipe had been cut so we played the Canon. Soon a young lady appears with an off-white dress and bouquet, looking just like a bride. Off-white is a popular bridal gown color. When we realized that she wasn't the bride then we changed the song back to the Canon. Any group would have made this call not knowing what you looked like and not being told someone else was wearing white and carrying a bouquet. Live musicians need to see the processional line-up in order to make correct calls. I am glad to be able to give you the behind the scenes that caused misunderstandings for us and worry as well. Sincerely, Sherry
