Chef Matt is the absolute best caterer! The food is absolutely delicious and the menu is endless! We could not be more appreciative of Chef Matt’s flexibility with our wedding having to be rescheduled TWICE. He responds to all questions almost instantly and accommodated a bunch of dietary restrictions for our event. I couldn’t recommend Enlightened Catering more! Can’t wait to use them for our next event!

Chef Matt and his team at Enlightened Catering truly made my wedding an event to remember. Because of COVID, I had an intimate, 25 person wedding. Matt was great to work with for my daughters wedding! We made the arrangements for catering and my daughter and her new husband were really impressed with the dinner. He made great suggestions and was easy to work with. The food and the service provided by Enlightened Catering was exceptional. Our wedding venue recommended several caterers that had previously worked at their venue and Enlightened Catering was one of the recommendations. I was able to look at their menu online with beautiful displays of food selections. I contacted the company and to my surprise Chef Matt (owner) answered and conversed with me about my wedding desires. I felt really special from the beginning of our conversation as Chef Matt, THE OWNER, listened and made recommendations to my selections accordingly (regarding what foods would keep and compliment what I wanted, and even mentioned when I was probably selecting way too many items most people he said usually select 3- (I had select 8-9, which he would prepare whatever I desired ,but I was open to his professional opinion/recommendations- wow, such integrity and helpfulness to make my day even more special with great food). Due to Covid shutdowns (most places were unexpectedly closed or suddenly unavailable), my husband and I were unable to have a taste test of the food prior to the wedding. Thank God for Chef Matt, because all of our food was fresh (not canned), made from scratch and DELICIOUS! ALL of my guest complimented every aspect of their dining experience, from the food (the prime rib was so juicy, salmon, shrimp & grits, roasted chicken, garlicky green beans, granny's mac n cheese, sweet potatoe casserole, roasted veggies, salads, profiteroles, fruit/cheese, yum yum meatballs, & so on), to the accommodating service and staff- EVERYTHING WAS SUPERB!!! Matt was an incredible vendor from the start! He was very responsive every step of the way. With all of the stress of having to postpone our wedding, it felt so nice to know that Matt was there for us and willing to help us through the changes in date, venue and number of guests. The day of the event, his entire team was so friendly and professional and the food was just as great as it was when we did the tasting. I would 100% recommend them to everyone!

From the personalized tasting to the reception, Chef Matt made sure that everything went smoothly just the way we wanted. He is an excellent communicator with quick response times. Everything was delicious and we still have people tell us how much they enjoyed the food! Chef Matt and his team had a limited amount of time due to venue time restrictions but they worked hard to make it happen!

From the very first contact with Chef Matt, until the days after the wedding, we knew we were getting top notch treatment. He will answer all the 277 questions that you may have (I had a ton). He will talk options with you, work with you to create the menu that fits in your budget and also your style. I have lots of foodie friends and we heard so many raves about the food at our wedding! We had a cocktail hour with fried green tomatoes and cheesesteak sliders. My husband and I never got to try these as we were too busy with mingling and photos ect. Chef Matt had them on the table for us and when he noticed we hadn't eaten them, even heated them up. It was totally our fault we missed them. We somehow had 26 no shows at our wedding, and this caused a large amount of surplus food. Chef Matt talked to us briefly and said that he would pack up the food to take to his kitchen. He met up with us on that Sunday with it all ready to take home and he gave us some quick reheat and freeze directions.This is attention to detail that is above and beyond what I could have expected. In a text the week or so before the wedding he told me that he treats each wedding as if it were his own, and I truly believe this. Chef Matt knows his food, is a professional and will also add the personality to make you feel like your special day is his only priority. I feel so thankful to have been ..enlightened. :)

Unfortunately, I had to cancel my wedding so I never got to experience Matt's day of services, however, he was absolutely amazing throughout the planning phase. He really worked with me on the menu to make sure my vision would come to life. He also was very understanding of the cancellation and promptly returned my deposit. If I do find the right one down the line, I would not hesitate to reach back out to Matt.
