  • A & A Disc Jockey Service was very professional and personalized the service for us. Both Larry and April were trusted advisors before the wedding and ensured everything was perfect during the wedding and reception. We couldn't have done it without them!

  • Wow where can I begin!!!Planning a wedding is not an easy thing to do, especially when your family is 10 hours away and you are planning it alone. But with the excellent help from Larry and April I must say our wedding was awesome! They provided feed back, extra assitance, micro-phones for the even! And the DJ they assigned was the best! He had worked great with my wedding planner and was very interactive with my friends and family and flexability!!! We literally changed the line up for the mother son/father daughter dance on the spot, and the DJ was ready with the song we requested, how great was that! Not to mention that April and Larry showed up to the wedding just to check up on my husband and I! I was very pleased to see them because it made me feel as if we where friends and not just clients! I would recommend their services to anyone that wants their event to be professional, fun & entertaining!

  • Hello. My name is Kristin Dailey. A and A disc jockey was awesome. Larry and April are so professional and response in such a timely manor with all the questions we had. They are both so helpful in assisting with all your planning needs and timing of all your events. Our wedding day went perfect. Al was our DJ and he was so nice and played amazing music. The ceremony music was beautiful and every thing sounded great! We were married outside and the sound was perfect! They also played music during our cocktail hour and reception. He keep me informed of each thing that was about to take place and he really got the guest out on the dance floor. Everyone had a blast!!! I was very impressed. ~Kristin Dailey

  • Larry & April were wonderful to work with while we were planning our event. Our guests still talk about what a wonderful time they had at our wedding. Tony kept our guests out on the dance floor all night!! It was truly a pleasure doing service with A & A. We highly recommend them for any occasion!

  • Everyone that we dealt with was wonderful. Larry was our initial contact. He was very helpful throughout the entire planning process. We moved on to work with April the wedding coordinator was was also very nice. Our DJ, Tony, was awesome!! He had all of our guests out on the dance floor all night & kept everyone entertained. Overall we would highly recommend them for any occasion!!!

  • A&A Disc Jockey was my husbands and my last DJ to interview. We had spoke with 3 others with one being the one we were going to use, but after meeting with Larry and April we changed our mind. At our first meeting they were very easy to work with and showed they knew what they were doing. They were able to help me with blending Northern and Southern Traditions as well as answer questions on other parts of the wedding. The planning process was pretty easy the planner really helped me lay out exactly how I wanted my reception to go. April was very easy to contact and she was quick to get back to me. I loved that they worked in the evenings since that’s when I am free to make calls. We choose the package with the Love Story and had introductions for the bridal party which both were crowd pleasers.   • I really loved the amount of time and effort this company puts into an event. I received a wedding packet to fill out with all my music choices and information. After returning it, I talked it over with their wedding planner, April, to verify names and the schedule of events. On my wedding day, my DJ, Al, did a great job. He found me as soon as I walked into the hotel, offered me a drink, and started to verify the songs. Even when the entrance line-up changed, he altered his paperwork and announced everyone with their new partners. He did a fabulous job!

  • I loved their planner guide - it was so helpful in planning our reception. That being said - USE IT. We did not put the time we should have into the DJ part of our wedding reception and it showed. Larry was fun to work with (he can be a little long-winded, but his heart is in the right place), but he wasn't the best at returning phone calls. April was okay - in going over the planner with us we heard a lot of "Well, that's not how it's usually done..." which was disconcerting to hear because not every couple is the same. Our DJ (Dan) was very nice and had a great announcer voice. Once he nailed down our guests' tastes, he was great. There were some speaker problems from time to time.

    I'm not sure how to respond here. I hate that what most of our cleints describe as us being very thorough and leaving nothing to chance, this client saw as "long winded." I know that Connie is from New Jersey, and having been there I know business people there usually don't take as much time to get to know their cleints, but we consider it a part of offering a personal and friendly service. Since they were doing things long distance, all of our contacts were by telephone and according to our daily logs, the few calls we received were all returned within 24 hours with the exception of one that came in late on a Friday, which we returned on Monday. She was accurate in stating that they did not put the time into planning their entertianment that they should have. We wanted to have more conversations with them, but when we did talk, we were told that she had a very busy schedule and had very little time to deal with "this." Just through those conversations, however we learned that she and Zack met in Cincinnatti, are big football fans and have 4 cats and a dog. We want to know all that we can about our clients to be of greater assistance to them. On the other hand, the staff person we assigned to Connie's event was Paul. We do not have a "Dan" on our staff. When we were looking for information from Connie, most of the time we were directed to her wedding director, which was fine by us since she had hired one of the best in the area. The director was in charge of the event itself. Our office manager, in reviewing things, may have occasionally pointed out what the "most common" ways of handling certain situations are to give a couple a base to work from. However, we encourage all of our couples to personalize their event in every way possible and even offer suggestions for things that are far from "what is usually done." As the owner of the company, I came by to check on things and see to some special lighting she had requested. I was there myself for severaly hours and have spoken to other professionals working the event. There were never any speaker problems. Before I left, I talked to Connie myself to ask her if she was happy with everything and she told me everything was wonderful and that she was especially pleased with the lighting. If she had expressed any concerns we would have attended to them immediately. From her photographer I have received photos of her guests having more fun than you see at many receptions and Connie and Zack never returned the feedback form we sent them to let us know of any concerns. In closing, I am simply puzzled and was frankly very surprised to find this post here. I only wish that she had taken the time to communicate with us more before her event, or told us if anything wasn't absolutely perfect during it so that we could have made any adjustments necessary. We were certainly willing to do whatever it took to see to it that her day lived up to all of her expectations. We wish she and Zack all the happiness in their future together and hope sincerely that any shortcomings (whatever they might have been) did not detract from their big day.

  • I really enjoyed my experience with A&A. I made a fully custom list of music and they were able to find every request even our very strange last dance song. I would definitely recommend them to a friend.

  • While the actualy DJ himself, Tony, was wonderful and everything we could ask for, they have an office person, April, who is awful. I would never reccomend her or work with her ever again. She is not flexible, does not work with you, and does not respond to emails or phone calls. She waited until the very last minute, less than 2 weeks before the wedding, to attempt to finalize my music, which was wrong. Luckily, the manager/owner of the company, Larry, got in contact with me and helped to finalize the details, as April was useless. I DO reccoment the company overall, and the DJ, he was great, but I DO NOT reccomend April, I would go around her to work with the company, and not have to deal with her at all if you want anything done!

    April has been with our company for over 11 years and is great at working with couples under stress planning their events and helping them through the process. I trust her completly and have hundreds of comments from brides who found her assistance invaluable. Over the speaker phone I heard a conversation between she and Marcia, the mother of the bride. When April tried to explain very nicely why we could not do some of the things she was asking (stealling music illegally from someone's web site or taking an original recording and remixing it without authorization from the artist) she became very beligerant and rude. Frankly, I have never had a client talk to me or any of my staff in that manner in 35 years in the business. I don't pay any of my staff enough to allow them to be abused. I took over the conversation from there. We still refused to do anything illegal or unethical, but she seemed to accept the "no" from me a little better. As she hersefl says, our staff person did a great job at her daughter's event. Fro whatever reason, there was simply a personality clash between Marcia and our office person. We made the adjustments that were necessary so that it never interfered with her daughter's celebration living up to all of her expectations.
