  • My daughter used their service in May for her wedding and has tried to get a hold of this company, but they have not answered her. One phone number is not working, and the other says the voice mail is full. Their facebook page and web page have not been updated since 2017. Did she get scammed? Is anyone else having this problem??

  • We got married on June 16, 2018. Everything was great and normal until about 3 months ago. Janet and Tommy has stopped returning emails..deleted their info on TheKnot.com, Facebook, and their phone number is no longer in service. Their cell phones are full and you can't leave a message. We are very nervous that they are scamming us and we plan to contact a lawyer if we do not get our wedding footage that we paid for.

  • The wife photographer was great, she was knowledgable, did a great job....photos are beautiful. Video is now a year late. After being told they'd look into it and let me know by the weekend 3 weeks ago, no notification or update. Their knot page is no longer available. Think they may be having serious problems. If you deal with them only do the photos with the wife, do not pay for video. Doubt we will ever see our video or get a refund. Very disappointed but trying to be fair.

  • It has been 9 months since our wedding and we are still waiting for our wedding DVD. We were told a couple times that our DVD would be mailed soon and we are still waiting. It took 8 months to get our highlights video via email! They later offered to send us a link to download the video instead of the DVD (apparently they stopped offering the DVD option sometime after our event), but we need the DVD for my husband's father, who paid for videography since he's not very tech savy. I didn't think we would have to keep bugging them for this. The videographer that shot the wedding was very nice and professional and the highlights video came out great, but trying to get the finished product has been so incredibly frustrating.

    Hello, we have no way of knowing who you are based on this review. Please contact us at [email protected] to get this resolved ASAP. If your highlights film is finished, your full feature should be ready as well. We need your name and wedding date so we can get you your full feature out again and make sure receive it this time.

  • This was the WORST decision we have ever made. Extremely unprofessional company that has no business sense when it comes to communication. We were married November 18, 2017 and understood that our video would take 2-3 months. ---March 12th: we sent an email just asking for an update. No response from Tommy. ---March 21st: I sent another email just checking to make sure he received my last one, letting him know there was no rush, we were just looking for an update. Again, no response. ---April 1st: I sent another email asking him to please at least respond and let us know where he is in the process, since I haven't had any communication from him since December, right after the wedding. ---April 2nd: Tommy finally responds, lets us know that they have been swamped and are way behind (no worries, I get it).   • DO NOT USE THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY!!! They will take your money, film your wedding and you will never hear from them again. Our wedding was last October and we still have not received our video. After calling, emailing and threating legal action we finally received a highlight reel that was garbage. After being reassured our video would be reedited and completed to our liking, that was in February and we have still not received anything. And when you do finally get ahold of someone they will tell you that they cannot call you back because its not their responsibility and that "it slows down the creative process", literally have the texts to prove it.We will be taking legal action against this company. Don't make the same mistake we did and let these hack jobs ruin your wedding, my wife sill cannot believe this is happening. Tommy and Janet, If I could give you 0 stars I would.

  • I honestly do not understand how this company has such great reviews when I am now under the impression that it is a scam. My sister and I booked the services back in May for our parents vow renewal and we have yet to get the finished product. I have been calling and emailing like crazy and have yet to hear anything back aside from one email back in August promising us to have the editing done by the end of September. When you go on his website you see plenty of photos and videos from weddings throughout the year, so I don’t know if he just decided to brush us to the side and forget about us completely or what. This has been the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with and it is geo to the point where I want to make this a legal matter. I hope no one else has to deal with this frustration and steer away from this company.

We are making of movie of a very important day and I spend the necessary time on every single video to ensure that the end result is of the highest quality. Even though I cannot give them 4/5 stars since it took over a year to receive my wedding videos with very long delays in email correspondence, I did receive a day-of edit (short clip) which I received immediately after the wedding since I included that in my contract. Despite being understaffed, Tommy did beautiful work as a 1-man operation.

  • Janet was amazing! The moment my husband and I met her we felt instantly comfortable. You can tell she loves weddings and just being part of the day. She’s genuinely overjoyed for you and it makes taking photos SO fun. She was engaging and got us to do poses in such a natural way. And the pictures that came out were beautiful. She made us enjoy taking pictures with her upbeat and sweet personality. She captured candid moments so when we got our pictures back it was like reliving the day!

  • I used 38 Films at the suggestion of my wedding coordinator and I am so glad I did. Our wedding video was absolutely beautiful. Tommy was easy to work with, professional and delivers an excellent product. We have watched out wedding video several times and each time we are simply blown away.

  • My husband and I got married on July 8th, 2017. We chose 38 films because of their price packages, availability, and reviews. Looking back now, I’m not sure how I could have missed the reviews that should have been red flags. Let’s start with the beginning. I made an appointment to meet with Janet to review the contract as well as giving her an outline of what the wedding day would be like. She was very attentive and genuinely interested on what we had to share. Fast forward to wedding day, our videographers were great. However, after our wedding, everything went downhill from there. It’s been 9 months since our wedding and we have only received our highlight video. We paid for the package that also included the documentary style of the reception and ceremony. We received our highlight video on December 19th, 2017, it took 6 months for us to receive our 9-minute highlight video, when they initially promised 90 days from wedding date.   • Terrible experience! I used this company because the pricing was far more in our budget than any other company, but I seriously regret this decision. Throughout the whole process it was impossible to get a hold of Tommy. There were times I emailed him and wouldnt hear back until my husband called him weeks later. We initially paid and asked for 2 videographers. One was sent. It was so stressful for my husband to not let me know that there was only one since he knew it would break my heart. Coordinating with only one was also incredibly difficult since we initially planned for two vidoegraphers. The videographer was very kind but it was so frustrating to only had one when two was paid for and planned for months in advance. It took a few months to finally get the refund it did not happen in a quick amount of time. The video was very ok. I think only having one really made a difference.     Hi Mitch and Nicole, I apologize, profusely, for the experience you seem to have had with our company. I know that any response will not help your experience since it is all said and done, however, I would like to clarify that sending one videographer was a huge oversight on our part and in the package we had down for you at the time. I take full responsibility for that as I did on the day of the wedding when I told Mitch. We did refund the cost of the 2nd videographer and upgraded your package for free as good will.   • A videographer was a lower priority to us than other vendors, so we did not spend much time comparing vendors; we chose 38 Films based on reviews and availability (reading reviews now I see many red flags I wish I would have paid more attention to). Even so, 38 Films was the most disappointing/frustrating experience of our wedding and I would not recommend them to any couple that has basic vendor expectations (communication/deadlines). No communication was proactively initiated from the 38 Films team (from submission of the workbook, to a meet and greet, to follow ups after the wedding), aside from the request for final payment prior to the wedding. On our wedding day, Tommy was 15 minutes late, somehow managed not to follow us to any additional stops after our first look (he drove separately) and was not at the ceremony location when we arrived.   • Was really satisfied with this company at first. In the beginning, everything was communicated well. Wedding day comes and a different videographer was sent than was originally planned. That wasn’t a big deal. Fast forward 9 months later and we still don’t have our video. We did wait a little while to pick out the songs but even after we picked out the music, it’s been longer than the contract says. I’ve been emailing and sometimes they reply, sometimes they don’t. When they do, they give me a date it will be done by and it’s never happened. At this point, I will take just the raw footage.
