We got married at 360 East on 9/29/19 and it was, from start to finish, simply PERFECT. Doug Sheehan, the GM, is simply the best at what he does. From our first meeting we talked all about why we loved Montauk so much and knew before we even walked in that we were booking there. He is so dedicated and helped me with every silly question along the way. The week of our wedding we spent hours going over how we wanted every detail, he and his staff were so helpful with their suggestions but really let us have our day the way we wanted it. My husband Henry and I were married at 360 East on Saturday, September 21st. The word that comes to mind is PERFECTION. After 13 years together, we truly had our dream wedding in Montauk. That was due in no small part to the time, attention, and care that General Manager Doug dedicated to each and every detail of our wedding day. Doug was organized, responsive, easy to communicate with, and kept our planning on track from the start. He accommodated our wishes without hesitation, while thoughtfully counseling us on the pros and cons of each option so that every choice was informed. I planned my entire wedding with help from my mother but never hired a wedding planner or a day-of planner. I do not regret a thing. Doug Sheehan at 360 East - Montauk Downs was so professional and helpful during the planning process that he made everything so easy. I often felt like I had random or silly questions throughout the planning process and he was so easy to reach and answered every single question I had. Doug deals with his clients according to their wishes and is certainly a 'make it happen' kind of guy. If there was something that just could not be done, Doug guided us with his professional opinion and makes everything work. We got married on June 24, 2016 and we must say that our special day wouldn't have been complete if weren't for the outstanding service of 360 East at Montauk Downs' General Manager, Mr. Doug Sheehan, the Maitre D, John, and the rest of the staff. During the wedding planning, it was honestly a toss up between 360 East and the Montauk Yacht Club. After meeting with Doug, we did not hesitate choosing 360 East as our wedding venue. Doug was very passionate about his work, the service and what 360 East could offer. He was with us every step of the way throughout our 14-month engagement. It's only been over a week since our wedding, but our guests are still talking about how perfect our wedding was. From the gorgeous views to the delicious food, we highly recommend booking your wedding at 360 East! We really wish we could do it again!

We had our wedding this past June at 360 East on Montauk Downs, and we cannot say enough great things about this venue. The food, quality of service, and atmosphere surpassed all of our expectations. From the bottom of our hearts, we have to thank to Doug and his wonderful team for what was truly the most incredible wedding reception. First, the food at 360 is excellent and superior to the quality at other Lessing's properties (which are pretty good, we have been to many) and is some of the best we ever had at a wedding. We both come from large Italian families who are very picky about where they eat, and we continue to get positive comments on the quality of the food months after our wedding. All of the passed appetizers and stations, especially the raw bar, were delicious, elegantly presented, and incredibly bountiful. He is very detail oriented and will go over every part of your reception with you multiple times. Doug offers his opinion and expertise for how the day should flow (trust him), menu, etc. but is always willing to make sure your day is exactly what you want. During the reception, Doug and the rest of his team - especially our maitre d’ and bridal attendant - are just as wonderful and attentive. They were helpful to all our guests, most importantly making sure the groom’s 92 year old grandma was comfortably brought up in the elevator and seated. As you can see by this lengthy review, we absolutely loved our reception and don’t have a single negative thing to say about Doug, his team, or 360.

The venue itself is gorgeous. We chose it for its 360 degree views of the ocean, high ceilings, and wood floors. I’m an interior designer, so it was important to me not to have a catering hall feel, to be rustic without being too much of a barn, and to feel airy and spacious. Unfortunately you don’t get to do a food tasting. They offer for you to pay to go to another location to taste food by a different chef.. didn’t really see the point in doing that. But the food turned out to be fantastic. Our guests raved about our add-ons: raw bar, trattoria station, and hot to-go pretzel. We got married on a day it was over 100 degrees, so we understood it would be hot, but we weren’t even at max capacity and the air conditioning was not sufficient. I knew what I was getting myself into the day we signed with him, and past reviews are correct - he’s impossible to work with, but he makes sure your wedding day is fabulous. And although this is true, that our wedding day was fabulous, I don’t know that it made up for the year and a half I had to deal with him, his rudeness, and condescending attitude. He took all the joy out of wedding planning; I was consistently dreading knowing I needed to speak to him. My husband and I both work 9-5 desk jobs, and in industries where we know having things in writing is important. Doug basically refuses to respond over email, and will call you 5 times a day, leaving a voicemail every time. And while I have no problem talking to people on the phone, it is a problem when I’m at my job and can’t be taking personal calls all day. I expressed multiple times that email was the best way to reach me and my preferred method of communication. I made it known from the beginning that I was very organized and detail oriented, and wanted to do things for the wedding whenever I had time. With that said, whenever I reached out I always said “no rush”. I would try to send as few, and as concise emails as I could, only when looking for answers that I had no way of getting on my own. I did so much leg work just to avoid having to ask him unnecessary questions. In 2018, I was told “this is 2018 and you’re a 2019 bride”. I also work in an industry with clients, and I know that even if you have 100 clients, it is your job to make each one feel as if they’re your only one. He makes everything as if he’s doing you a favor, when really he’s just doing his job. And you get to constantly hear about his other job and priority - the cafe. The positive here - the Maitre D, Jhon Rodriguez. I wish I could have worked directly with him the entire time. He is so calming, accommodating, and professional. He wore a tux in the 100 degree heat; I told him he could take it off and he insisted to keep it on. Not a second of the night went by where he wasn’t in sight, attending to my husband and I. He was organized and made sure the wedding went exactly to the schedule I provided them, in terms of when I wanted dances done, the cake cutting, etc. If I wanted to change something in the spur of the moment, he was on it and had everything under control. The bridal attendants and wait staff were excellent.

AMAZINGGGGG! 360 East at Montauk Downs was the absolute perfect place to get married. From the first day we started working with Doug (General Manager) to the last minute of the night, our wedding went so smoothly with all the details that we wanted. Montauk has always been near and dear to my husband and my heart, and we knew we would want to get married there.
