If you’re a nervous bride looking for the right seamstress look no more! My gown was two sizes too big on me and she knew I was nervous about getting the whole alteration process started. Marilyn is amazing at what she does. She is super sweet, extremely professional, easy to reach and flexible with your time and schedule. She had the torso altered to fit, hemmed and added a bustle. The dress fits perfectly and even though I was not in a rush to have it done her turn around time was less than 2 weeks for every request. I am sending my bridesmaid and all future alterations to Marilyn!

Sewing by Marilyn did an amazing job with my wedding dress and her prices were unbeatable compared to others in the Orlando area. Marilyn had been highly recommended by many people on a local FB group, so we took my daughter’s wedding dress to her for alterations. I am so glad we did! She did an amazing job! She also helped me create an embroidered piece to put in my daughter’s dress from my wedding dress, an embroidered handkerchief, and I had her insert a zipper in my MOB dress. As, the mother of the bride, I was looking for the “best” seamstress for my daughter, the bride, and her wedding party. I found her! All of us were sooo pleased, including the groom and groomsmen! Marilyn was recommended to me by another family member, and I am SO glad I chose her to work on my dress! Our wedding was in May, and everything was changing last minute due to Covid-19. As hectic as it was, Marilyn was extremely kind, patient, and flexible. She made me feel so special as she really took the time to find out exactly what I wanted and make sure every last detail was perfect. She even offered to steam my dress the day of the wedding! I did not like any of the traditional bustles, so she got creative and made my dress into a "ballroom" bustle. My very long train completely disappeared, exactly how I wanted! They say that you should be careful when looking for a tailor to fix your wedding dress. They have to be very good and know what they're doing. After a long nervous search, I was referred to Marilyn. Her storefront was very close and very intimate where she focuses only on you. I needed things to be fixed on my dress that I never thought could be fixed, but Marilyn fixed them. She was so amazing and her work was so wonderful that I brought my entire bridal party to her. Groom: My husband brought his suit in and when his suit needed to be let out a bit, we didn't think there was any room left in the fabric, but she was able to let it out and the pants fit on him much better. Ring bearer: We bought my son a suit that came from the UK, but it didn't come with a tie. We needed a tie to match the fabric of the suit and in 24 hours, she had gifted us with a tie for him.
